While the Neo-Geo AVS allowed gamers to play actual arcade games at
home, it was overpriced and poorly distributed. It was primarily
targeted for the Blockbuster rental market rather than actual
ownership which prevented it from catching on. Although the games were
exactly the same as the arcade, they used funky formats and were extremely expensive.
